About
My name is Ashley Karaman. I worked in case management in correctional facilities while I was getting my Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I found the work I was doing to be rewarding and challenging and I decided to add a special focus in Forensics. My first internship and full-time job was at a drug and alcohol outpatient treatment facility before finding my way back to corrections again. I grew to really appreciate my work with both of these special populations; but, not without noticing the incredibly complex barriers faced by both.
As a therapist, it is my mission to help people remove barriers that interfere with their mental wellness. I have treated individuals from a wide range of ages, backgrounds, and emotional/behavioral issues. I have found that each client perceives life’s stressors in a unique way. I strongly believe that an individual’s strengths can assist them in overcoming any bumps in the road that are preventing them from achieving optimal mental clarity and well-being.
There are times where we are faced with circumstances that feel impossible to overcome. It is my goal to support each and every client to work through any challenge they are faced with. As a “client-first” therapist, I believe that each person is the expert in their own life. My mission is to help you to believe the same thing. Together, we can evaluate what your needs, strengths, and barriers are and come up with a plan that best fits you.
Still We Rise, LLC’s mission is to provide each and every client with a safe space where they can be their full, authentic self. We can be there if a client is faced with a sudden crisis and is seeking immediate support or to offer continuous support for clients throughout the expected ebbs and flows of life.
